Hi – just a quick note to say that, although we have some snow, it’s manageable, and we WILL be running the Lincoln session tonight. If we have to cancel any sessions due to bad weather, we’ll post here, on the front page of the website, on Facebook, we’ll send an email to everyone affected, and call anyone who isn’t online. If you’re in any doubt about whether a session is going ahead, check here first – if you’re still not sure, give us a call.
After yesterday’s temporary problems with BeVox OnLine, I’m pleased to say it’s working again now. Sorry for any problems caused by its unavailability.
Hi everyone – we’re having some problems with BeVox OnLine at the moment. Although you can log in, you may find you get error messages when trying to do anything, such as signing up for the season or requesting sheet music/CDs. We’ve logged an urgent support call with the web developers, and we’re hoping it will be fixed soon – we’ll post again here when we have an estimate for when it will be back up.
In the meantime, please bear with us, and hopefully we’ll be back to full service shortly.
After being told we may need to move this week’s session due to the industrial action at Sheffield Springs Academy, we’ve now got an update – the site staff aren’t striking, so we can use the venue as normal. See you there!
After a brief outage over the Easter weekend, BeVox OnLine is available again. All the music for the Summer season is available to download, so if you’ve signed up for the Summer season, you can start listening to the tracks in preparation for the launch of the season next week. See you there!
Just a quick note to say that we’re aware that you can’t log in to BeVox OnLine at the moment – we’ve raised it with the web developers and we’re hopeful that it will be fixed really soon. Bad timing – it went down just as we were uploading the Summer season tracks! We’ll post again once it’s up, and then you’ll be able to download your music if you’re singing with us for the Summer season.
We have now sold the last of the tickets for the evening performance of “Voices at the Lakeside”. There are still tickets available for the matinee – grab them before they go too!
Please note that there are road closures affecting the entrance to the Lakeside Arts complex – East Drive is no longer accessible, due to tram works. Please use Coates Road (off the A52 Clifton Boulevard) and Science Road to get to the Djanogly Recital Hall. Allow extra time to navigate around these disruptions.
It’s possible that some people aren’t receiving emails from us at the moment, particularly if you use AOL for your email. Our ISP is having some technical problems (DDoS attack, for the more technical-minded amongst you), which means that some of our email is being flagged as potential spam. We’ll try to ensure we communicate anything important via our Facebook page and here whilst the email stuff gets sorted out. Thanks for bearing with us!
Just a reminder – the Nottingham sessions are now at West Bridgford Methodist Church, on the junction of Musters Road and Patrick Road, from 11th Feb until the end of the season.
Back in December, we put on “A Circle of Life”, our most ambitious event to date. We’ve very nearly finished putting together the DVD of this concert, and we’ll be selling copies at our weekly sessions in a few weeks, once the discs have been manufactured. Incidentally, we’ll also be selling copies of our “BeVox @ Magna” DVD, from our first ever big concert back in 2011 – we have a small number of copies left, so we’ll be selling them off at half price.
In the course of putting the “A Circle of Life” DVD together, I’ve managed to pull quite a few still pictures from the video feeds – I’ve uploaded them to our Flickr page, so if you want to take a look, head over there.
We’re looking forward to creating many more special events like these – remember, tickets for “Voices at the Lakeside” go on sale very soon, and we expect them to fly out the door!
