After much consideration and consultation, we’ve taken the decision to close our Barnsley group. Whilst at atmosphere and community spirit of the group was incredible, we just didn’t have enough singers for it to be financially viable. We’re encouraged that most of the Barnsley singers will be joining our Wakefield or Sheffield groups, so we won’t be saying goodbye to too many people, and we’re confident that they’ll find the other groups really welcoming.
Thank you to everyone who has supported BeVox Barnsley since it launched in April 2011. We’ll see you around!
We’ve updated the Forthcoming Performances page of the main website with several new events – check them out to see what’s coming up for BeVox in 2013.
Singers, we’ll be accepting sign-ups for Spring season events in a couple of weeks – watch your emails. The work on the OnLine system is nearly finished!
Our session in Wakefield on 4th March will be at St Thomas a Becket School, rather than Sandal Methodist Church. This is just a short distance up Barnsley Road from our usual venue. Map: http://goo.gl/maps/o4dXx
The school has its own car park – please enter from Agbrigg Road/Agbrigg Grove.
For our Nottingham session on Tuesday (22nd January), we’ll be at West Bridgford Methodist Church rather than our usual venue. This is on the junction of Musters Road and Patrick Road – map: http://goo.gl/maps/J8JmL. Parking is difficult at this venue, so please try to arrive early or be prepared to park a street or two away.
It seems like everything is new now we’ve hit 2013. First we had this blog, then the new website – now we’ve got our new van! We’re just waiting to get the sign-writing done, then we’ll have both a really convenient way of lugging our gear around, and a great mobile advert. It’s heading out to its first session tonight – through the snow – wish us luck!
The new design for the main BeVox website has been launched. Hopefully you’ll find it easier to read, easier to find things, and more vibrant and exciting! Please let us know if there are further improvements you’d like us to make – it’s your website, for your choir.
